Best Christmas Ever

Christmas is a wonderful time. The smells, the decorations, the food and the Christmas tree bring us joy each day of the season. For many of us, Christmas is a time to be merry and spend time with family. For families with children battling cancer, Christmas is very different. To the parents who had to quit their jobs to take care of their child with leukemia, and the single mom who is trying to raise a newborn while her 7-year-old is in the hospital fighting an inoperable brain tumor, Christmas time just means more stress and heart ache. A cancer diagnosis not only takes a toll physically and emotionally, but it also causes financial struggles for a family. The Pearce Q. Foundation understands these struggles during the holiday season and we want to help. We started the Best Christmas Ever campaign to alleviate the stress on parents that comes with trying to provide Christmas gifts for their children. The PQF adopts 7-9 families each year whose child is battling cancer. We request wish lists from each child and then go out and buy gifts. The foundation wraps all of the gifts and delivers them to the hospitals for families to pick up. Of all of our events, the Best Christmas Ever touches home the most for Pearce. As she was sick with cancer, family and friends came together to provide a wonderful Christmas for her and her brother. Pearce says that she will never forget waking up that Christmas morning and staring in awe at all of the presents Santa had brought. Please consider donating to this campaign to give a childhood cancer warrior and their family the Best Christmas Ever.
